Has anyone else had this issue, I'm on number 3 now and they've all dropped satellite signal when they get warm.... I guess I could drive around all winter with the AC on but I shouldn't have too...See video below for a demonstration.

In this video I've turned the fan way up just to speed the process up but this always happens during normal driving once the vehicle warms up to a comfortable temp. without using the defrost. I've also tried moving the unit around, where it sits in the video is about as far away from the vents a functionally possible.

Did you call Garmin Tech support ? I have had three Garmin StreetPilots, the old B/W one, the color #III, and now the #2610. They don't make the StreePilots and more. Don't know why, I always like them. Anyway they all worked very well at any temp. Your issue is really weird, looked at the vid. I personal think it's not the temp. change, because how could it effect the unit so fast. The inside temp of the unit couldn't change that fast. Call Garmin, I have in the past, and what I remember is I was on hold a Very Very long time. Then when I finally got someone they were as helpful as could be. Companys do change over time, not for the better. But I would try.

I have called them about the issue, they thought it may be caused be the electrical draw of the heater fan/system causing a loss of power to the GPS ...I've ruled that out now as I've run the power for the unit directly to the battery (newer Optima redtop) and it still has this issue,...It is certainly the heat though, The temp changes very quickly as it was mounted directly above the defrost vents in the video, I have since mounted it up high by the rear view mirror, takes a little longer to heat up there but it does,....It will even loose signal if the vehicle is in the sun long enough to heat up the interior....Very frustrated with it to date, time for another phone call.

If it's giving you that much trouble, I would return it for a refund. I always like the StreetPilots.
The are a bit bigger, no big deal for me. And the last update for my unit came out this year. So I will keep it for maybe two more years max., than upgrade.
