In their defense, its technically uniframe and the later ones have a pretty stiff platform. But, if you offroad with it a lot and run huge tires on it, you will eventually run into issues like that if you don't cage it.
The early XJs were especially weak, that's they they're so light... The made improvements in the mid 90s and by the 97+ models they were pretty strong. My '96 was almost the same in strength as the 97+ models...

I'd be reluctant to put my wife in an XJ. They are not very safe vehicles at all. Terrible crash test ratings and a lot of fatality accidents. My '96 folded up like a POS when I hit someone at only 20 mph. The whole front end was fucked and it was totalled.

I think you guys hijacked sandbarpete's thread here. Not knowing that a GC is a uniframe isn't a crime.
Anyway check here for some really cool GC stuff.... [url]www.icelandoffroad.com/ZJ_lift_kits.html

yeah, somewhat worries me, it cant be worse than the JK with the doors off, that she always drives. I've already folded one of them up.
Glad to see your concerned for my safety in a 86 MJ:clap:

ZJ/WJ/XJ are all Uni-body. There is no Body lift available for them.
