easiest lift ever. Disconnected shocks, disconnected swaybar, the spacer went right over the bumpstop, reconnected, put new (unneeded) shocks on. put her down.
it could use a 2" in the front instead of a 3/4 to make it perfectly level, but for 30 bucks you can't beat it!
Edit: i put a 3/4" spacer in the front only.

Are those ProComps or BFG Muds? Looks awesome, did it need the 3/4 lift?

Man, I feel like a jacka$$.....:rotflmao1:
So you just throw on 2" spacers and you get 2" of lift on the jeep for bigger wheels/tires? (ie. 33's or 35's)????
Is it that easy? Do you have to do anything with the shocks or anything else?
Sorry for the naive questions, just starting to learn about this stuff...

we threw a 3/4" spacer in the front. the 33's clear in the rear NO problem. I also put 2" lift JK shocks on it. But they were THE SAME LENGTH AS STOCK SHOCKS!!!! so you really don't need longer shocks. If you want them, i would measure the distance you want, or the stock shock and add 2" and order them that way. But you really don't need them.
I woulda been upset if i hadn't picked em up for 8 bucks apiece at 4wdhw!!!!

I was planning on getting those spacers to try and level out my JK. Did you have to adjust the steering wheel back to center or have the front realligned?

not at all. one of the great things about true crossover steering is the toe does not change no matter whatheight it is at.
on a tj when u lifted, the draglink moving up caused a scissor effect which in turn creates toe in. on the jk the crossover steering has one bar all the way across and the draglink going directly to the knuckle....
I'm probably 3'' of lift and I didn't need to adjust either.

Thank you for that info. I didn't want the added cost of a reallignment.

Got my spacers yesterday. Took about an hour and a half, by myself, with interuptions from my little kiddo and a telephone survey from none other than DC asking how I liked my Jeep and if I had any suggestions.

Ron,, ordered the 3/4' spacer's from Quadratec, be here shortly, your JK looks excellent, & to me it looks pretty dam level and that's all I want. I've studied your pictures and can't see where you would need a 2", but other say the 2" would be better. To bad you can't stack (2) 3/4" spacer's to get 1/12" lift.
How did you get the X and trail rated badge off??? I wanted to do that but was afraid of messing the paint up under.

Hey Nozz, I removed the "X' very easily by using a hair dryer warming it up very mildly, then I caught one end with my finger nail. From there I just kept slight heat hitting it close enough to keep it just warm, just pull very constistantly and it's off. Ron will tell you how he got the Badge off
X gone

I did the same thing with the badge.
First warm it with a hair dryer, a little longer than X sticker. Then put a rag or small rubber block between the edge of the badge and paint, on the bottom side, so the badge does not scratch the paint. Then you gently but firmly pry it off from the top end. Careful not to scratch the paint on the top with what ever you use to pry off the badge.
When you pry the badge from the top it "teater totters" and the bottom edge will scratch the paint. That is what the pad on the bottom is for.
Hey thanks for the tip!!! I will definetly try this soon. There is entirely to much badging on the X. People will think its a 2WD without a trail rated badge:rotflmao1:

Look's good.:yup: How long did it take you to install the 3/4" spacers ? Anything that supprised you while installing. I have added 2" spacers to an 04' but haven't taken a look under the 07' yet. The 04' took about 2-1/2 hours front and back.

took about 25 minutes in the front. No more bar pins, just a bolt. . . .which is nice.
