I thought the same thing. The blues are a lot different, but this green looks a lot like the Jeep green. In the pictures anyway.

well thats pretty much why i bought mine...
I wanted rescue green, but leave it to jeep to take away the best colors...
a close second choice was jeep green w/ khaki top. NGP looks very similar so i went w/ it.

On the left is my Natural Green, on the right is my old Jeep Green.

To me, up close, they're not that far off. But from a few feet away, to me, the Natural Green comes across as a lot darker?

Either way, as a big Jeep Green fan, I'm happy enough with the Natural Green. :)

Yeah judging by your pictures there it actually does look slightly darker than the Jeep green. Close enough though! I mean, there's no way I'd notice a difference if I saw one driving passed me. Looks sweet!

sorry to say, as much as i love love love my new jeep, i wish it were jeep green... the color is just flat out better... idk why they took it out of the line up.

that said, im still very satisfied. but better is better, no 2 ways about it.

Great Pics,
Love the color and the seats.
Jeep Green is still in there but it is hiding. Note how much reflection you get from your envioronment.
Yesterday one of my Buddys told me " I didn't know how green it was till I saw it in the sunlight!".
Can we get some more pics, maybe in some more direct sunlight? Or any other kind of pics? That'd would be good for me. I likely to order this week, or next, and I have yet to decide on a color and there are no Natural Greens by me.

IMO, this color really changes its appearance, depending on the type of lighting. On a darker day, it looks almost black to me. On a bright day, in the sunlight, it's definitely green.

I parked beside a Jeep Green Sahara a few days ago, and I think the easiest way to describe the difference is that JG is more of a lighter, yellow-green and NGP is more of a dark blue-green.

But as Aristo said, NGP changes to almost black as you can see in some of my pics in indirect light and shade. But in direct sunlight it looks absolutely stellar!

I just ordered a 2010 Rubicon Unlimited in this colour with the khaki interior. I kept things simple with no extra options. Can't wait to take it on some trips and post up some pictures here.

The Rubi wheels on this green seem darker than on the Red Rock Rubi's, and other colors. I don't if it's me, if it's the green, or if they are actually darker. I think if it was the body color fooling my eyes, the wheels would appear darker on the Red Rock, too. Maybe the Natural Greens were built more recently and are using a new, darker, wheel color:thinking:. The dark wheels on this green are very nice:yup:

The wheels are "Painted Satin Carbon", so they are a bit darker. Well, except for the center cap. Jeep left that the normal color. Ugh. :D

What was the finish in '09? My '09 Rubi wheels didn't seem as dark the ones shown here or the one I saw on a dealer lot today.

How'd you like it in person?

Without a doubt, I loved it. However, I'm ordering today at 1 pm and I can't decide on this or Rescue Green. My first color choice about 6 months was Rescue Green. Then I found out they dropped it. When I went to the dealer last night I saw it as an option in the computer, asked about it, and they confirmed it can be ordered. I've seen NG in person a few times (I've been to that lot more than once:yup:) and love it. I My first pick was RG, but I've never seen it in person. What in the world am I going to do??????.

All morning I was all over the Natural Green, Jeep Green, and Rescue Green threads debating my options. Before my 1pm appointment, I stopped to look at the NG Rubi on a local lot and fell completely in love.
Long story short, I will have Natural Green 2 door in 8-10 weeks:ya: I have to thank this forum and thread, in part, for my joy.

Yeah, I was totally floored when I heard that. It should arrive very close to my birthday! Perhaps I made some kind of secret ordering deadline? Also, I didn't select any additional options so that may speed things up.

You'd better buy that one. The one with the half doors. Those things are the most sought after, most valuable part of the Jeep. Just search the topic of half doors, and you'll see. You may love them. If you don't like them, you could trade your half doors for full doors and cash!

Just to add to the ambiguity of the color, here are two "full sun" shots from the Va Beach Jeep Club OBX run last Saturday. JK719357, if you're not already in it, you should def join!

Seems like even in full sun, if you're more than a few feet away, it's a darker color. As you get closer to the Jeep, it gets way more green.

It shows the green, anything but direct sun and it looks black.

The last one shows a gap in the paint on the side of the cowl just behind the hood, anyone else have this gap?

Here's mine, I take delivery tomorrow. They are picking my 07 X up and swapping the winch and bumpers while I sleep (hopefully) after my night shift tonight.

I didn't get around to taking pictures of my Rubicon on my vacation. I tested the rear locker in some deep wet snow and was impressed at just how little wheel spin I expirenced. But here is one more of it in it's current state before I left for Vancouver.

well i never got my :beer: but i was able to install the trek top, hitch and wiring. Damn i love this colour. the trek top is quite a bit tighter on the rubi than it was on the X, havn't had it out on the hiway yet to check the header noise level. found a bit of concealed paint damage under the hard top flange, already sent pictures to the dealer to register the problem for warrenty.
heres a couple of pics with the trek top and hitch. Oh Yeah! :ya:

Looks really good. My NG Jk should be here in a couple of weeks, I ordered it with the hardtop only and was planning on getting the trektop. Any complaints about the top? Also, how is it to take down and put up when on the road? Thanks.
