yep thats middle saint vrain/coney flatts. i did that same crossing in june. it was a little deeper then and not NEAR as cold!

It is a pretty fun trail. It was my first time with snow and we had a great time.

Definately a fun trail. This was my second time down it in 2 months. The lake is highest after spring runoff obviously so you want to use caution. I ran Coney flats first and then up MSV. Afterwords we did the T33 plane crash trail. This was a fun trail also but it got extremely narrow towards the end I had 2 or 3 trees within an inch of both sides at one point. Probably wouldn't do it again, but the wreckage from from the old military jet that crashed up there in the 50's or 60's was pretty sweet to see. Amazing how well it is preserved just sitting on the mountain side.

Next time you go shoot me a pm in advance :thumbsup: were hitting the slaughter house gulch in the morn I got this feeling its going to be a rough one with the snow :eek2:
