looks like you got the towing package... something i DEFINATLY should have gotten to get the dana 44's :( oh well, as soon as i get some money you can bet your ass im gonna be swapping axles and drive shafts when i jack it up and put some meats on that mug. I cant wait to bury it in a swamp in FL!

Oh, I'm sure you could get by with the Dana 35 for a while especially with the kind of wheeling you probably do in FL. I know that companies like Superior Axle are already working on a Super Kit for the JK Dana 35 and upgrading your shafts could do a lot to help things out too and without breaking the bank.

could you go with 33 tires with no lift on rubican

Probably, but I wouldn't recommend it especially if you plan on taking your JK on the trail as you will most likely rub your fender flares off. At bare minimum, you should probably install a 2" budget boost or 1" body lift.

Did you do anything to the gearing to accommodate the taller tires, or are you just living with the speedo error?

Hi, nice black 4dr. I do have a question, What kind of acceleration changes did you notice when you increased the tires to 33 inches???? Did you drive it on 32 inch rubber and then change it to the 33 inch? I want to do the same, but would like to know if there is any improvement off the line acceleration? Thanks JC Drives a:naw: Jeep

Hey, nice cruser, can you tell me one how it drives with the 33 inch tires? Freeway vs town off the line acceleration etc. Also, did you drive it with the original 32 inch tires too? If so, can you tell us how they compare to your 33s. Thanks JDJ

Yeah ...but still you're driving a JEEP. And it's a great looking rig! Get it out in the weeds and yank 'er down into 4 low up a steep incline and you'll love it even more:yup:

Looks really awesome man! Any pics of the 2" Econo lift install? or copy of the directions? Just wondering what I'll need to do mine.

Did you have those rims and tires mounted any before you got the lift? b/c i'll have to ride with my 285/70/17's for a little while before I can get my lift.

How much in your (subjective) opinion would you say the feel of the steering and handling has changed with the lift/tire change?

I can't answer for the lift, but I just put 33"s on my Unlimited X, and It still feels awesome, no change in steering, still rock solid feeling.

Ok, for the guy that wanted to see a black two door here is a link to mine. There is no lift whatsoever, and she is running 285/70/LT17 Cooper STTs on American Racing rims. No rubbing whatsoever but I did have to lose that silly looking air dam. there are three pics on the link. http://mysite.verizon.net/jkwrangler/

Boy, those 27" tires look good! I think you mean 285/70/17. Is there a lot more wind noise without the air damn?

Nice looking Jeep!

That was a typo honest! Anyway, I can't tell at all that the air dam has been removed. I suspect it may change my gas mileage a tiny bit.

Site's under construction.

Hope it's fixed soon. I was looking at those tires.

I was just inquiring at Discount about some American Racing wheels, and they said they wouldn't work on my JK. I think it has to do with the backspacing (I'm very much a noob, so I apologize if I screw up the terminology). I really like the black American racing, and I wanted to upgrade my stock tires to the LT285/75/16's. Any suggestions? If there's another thread that I should be looking at, any help pointing me there would be terrific!
