k, i'm a newbie, so bear with me. just got an o6 tj sport 1 month ago brand new. problem is that there is always water coming in and flooding the wntire floor area. taken it back to the dealership already 4 times and all they have done is adjust the dorr and add some weather strip lubricant. they tell me that the jeep is meant to leak. well, is it supposed to leak to the point where i have to remove all the carpet because it is soaking wet and smells? furthermore, this only happens when i wash my jeep through the car wash. is it possible that water gets in the backend an travels all the way to the floor?
if anyone can help me iw ould really appreciate it

I believe that I saw in the manual where it said not to run a soft top through a car wash :drowninga: and when I bought mine someone told me not to run it through the car wash with either top. At least it's an easy car to wash.

your manual specifically states to NOT use the car wash in that manner...
wash it by hand or with a non automatic one, staying away from the top and door seals...

"furthermore, this only happens when i wash my jeep through the car wash."
Correct paragraph structure would be starting with this sentence. You should trade it in on a Subaru because obviously your TJ is defective...

Troll alert. Who else would write that they "hate their Jeep" on a Jeep forum?
For what it's worth, here's my $.02: You're a TOOL, and don't deserve to own a Jeep - go buy a minivan and go offroading in it.

Could be the windeshield leaking. My '03 TJ leaked since day one. Never really bothered me since I had the catch all weather mats and they would just have a small puddle.
Windshield got smashed and had to get a new one. There was a six inch section that the windhield was not sealed to the frame. New windshield and no more leaks.

My 04 TJ had the same symptoms as you except it leaked like that when it rained. It never got washed. :D so carwash wasn't an issue.
It took maybe 3 or 4 trips to the dealer to get it straight. It turned out to be issues with the door seals on mine. It sounds like the dealer knows what to look for. BTW mine NEVER leaked again after it was fixed.
If Jeeps were meant to leak that bad it would say something in the owners manual about that. Maybe you should point out how hazardous it is to drive because your feet keep slipping off the pedals because of how it is designed to collect water.

I had an '87 that leaked everytime it rained, water poured in behind the dash, I replaced the main gasket where the windshield folded down and that fixed it. But that was the least of my problems. I replaced the oil pan gasket like 5 times and ultimately discovered a defect in the pan itself. I replaced the transfer case yoke seal, hell that thing leak most everywhere it could. LOL, the dealer told me Jeeps are supposed to leak... Ultimately I got a job transfer out of state and was gonna be driving a lot so I traded it before I moved. A week after I traded it (for an '89 corolla) the dealership called and asked if I ever had any problems with it, I said nothing out of the ordinary, they said it threw a rod as they were driving it to their detail shop. I still loved that Jeep.
First Sahara edition they made I believe, and first year model after Chrysler bought out AMC.
But I never took it through a car wash.
