So I go to get my wife's Christmas presents out of the Jeep tonight. I hit the unlock button and opened the passenger side rear door. When I did, all of my accessories/dash/radio turned on! The air even turned on. Keys were in my hand and other than it not turning over, the entire thing lit up like it was running.
I've tried several times now, but have been unable to duplicate it. I've had a few of the radio problems that everybody else has had, but never heard of this one.

Ours did something close to that last week. Fiance hit the unlock button so the headlights would come on when she was walking back to the JK. I was sitting inside and for about a second all the lights came on, along with the radio.
No idea if it's done it before as that's the only time I've been sitting in it without the keys being in there, and we couldn't get it to do it again.

I had it flashed yesterday. I hope it solves all those little problems.

What do you me by "flashed"?
I've never heard this term.
Does it have something to do with resetting the computer?
Did you have to bring it to the dealer to do this?
Also, How long have you had your vehicle?

Had mine a month and 2days. Bought it off the lot.
I read on the forum about the TSB.

I took it to the dealer and they hook up their computer to your OBDII, under the steering dash. They have to delete the prior programming and re-enter an updated program. It advances the timing and corrects the electrical issues.

WOW! That's really intresting. Every time I start looking through the forum I learn something new.
My rig hasn't even been started being built yet (as far as I know). I have to talk to the dealer after Christmas.
Maybe the vehicles being built now all ready have the update installed???
If not, this is really good to know.
Thanks for the info.
By the way...How is it running now that you've gotten it flashed, and did it take care of the other problems???

Your rig should be taken care of with the new programming. I've noticed that it's alot smoother. I haven't done a full tank yet to see about mileage. I haven't had any electrical gremlins and the tranny seems to have adjusted to the new settings. So far, so good!
