Sputters

Hello

I have a 1985 CJ 7 and having some problems lately. Warm or cold the jeep sputters at low Rpms but pass
12k rpms runs great. I know it could be many things, but one clue is that sometimes if i restart it problem goes away, then drive it and stop problem comes back. Any help would be great.

Check your fuel filter first and then check this out. my old CJ did the same until I replaced the ignition. Runs great now but due to some oil burning, I have to check and clean plugs regularly
