Just got back from the dealer asking for tsb 18-036-06 because of clock/MIL et all... and also asked for help fixing a problem I experienced last night returning from work. I applied the brake at about 30mph and there was no power behind the pedal (the pedal was hard, as if I had been pumping it while the engine was off). Immediately thereafter, I felt the antilock brakes kick in and, white knuckled, stopped the car in the nick of time. When I got the car back, about 30 minutes later, the guy said they found a tsb that included my radio issue as well as the braking issue. Great, but I cannot find the tsb they referenced anywhere. (TSB 08-053-06).

Having said that, gone are most of the annoying throttle hesitations and power deficiencies that plagued (sp?) my driving for the 1st 600 miles. As was mentioned by ThinkMud in a previous thread, there is definitely more power at lower engine speeds... or, rather, more predictable and consistant power. I got 1/2 mile more per gallon (according to the computer) on the way back from the dealer than on the way there.

So - anyone know anything about tsb 08-053-06? Or do you think all of this is in my head and the dealer just made those #'s up?

08-053-06 is for the radio cutting out.

I had the brake thing happen as well (so much for my perfect vehicle). What is the TSB or code they used to correct the brakes?

hmmm..... might have something to do with the brake recall on our jeeps??

From http://www.mlive.com/newsflash/busin...list=autonews2

WASHINGTON (AP) — DaimlerChrysler AG's Chrysler Group said Friday it was recalling more than 60,000 vehicles to reprogram a brake system computer to avoid the loss of antilock brakes and traction control.

The recall involves 62,369 model year 2007 Chrysler Sebring, Chrysler 300, Jeep Commander, Jeep Compass, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Jeep Liberty, Jeep Wrangler, Dodge Nitro, Dodge Magnum, Dodge Charger and Dodge Caliber vehicles.

The automaker said that in a small number of vehicles, the instrument panel warning lamps might illuminate and be followed by the loss of its Electronic Brake Distribution, antilock brake system, traction control and speedometer functions. That could lead to a loss of vehicle control.

Owners are expected to be notified of the recall in February 2007. The automaker said owners who experience the warning lamp illumination should take their vehicle to a dealer for inspection.

In a separate action, the company said it was recalling more than 6,000 Chrysler Sebrings from the 2007 model year equipped with an automatic temperature control. The heating and cooling system computer will be reprogrammed to deal with potential problems with windshield defrosting.

No accidents or injuries have been reported and owners are expected to be notified next month.

It solves MANY other issues as well. The 1st gear weird throttle response has finally been fixed.

I got my truck flashed today, it's NIGHT AND DAY....if you guys haven't done it...DO IT!!

Makes a world of difference.

The TSB listed above is not the Nov. 18 TSB 18-036-06 that deals with the radio and drivability issues is it? I can't find the TSB 08-053-06, can you post a link to it?
Thanks,
Jim

The Nov 18 flash didn't fix my radio either.

TSB # 08-053-06 will fix it, but is wasn't posted until Jan 3, 2007 on the all data website

There is also the 08-036-06 (Nov 18) TSB, which a lot of people on the forum thought would fix the radio, but it didn't for me.

Possibly the dealership only did the Nov 18 flash
