Rescue Green Unlimited X

I waited and waited for a 6 speed unlimited rubicon (ordered 22 Sep) and then I found an X with the options I wanted...I figured I can use the $4500 saved for the extras...

I love it...I left the Jeep'n world because I needed more room because of the kids...the 4 door has brought me back!

Anyway...here's my new toy! First thing I did was take off the X...

Nice looking rig. A neighbor around the corner from me just got a Rescue Green Sahara w/ soft top. I like the color more in person than I did in the advertisments. Congrats on the JK.

That color is really growing on me. Nice looking rig!

Now, when you get a chance, pictures with top off would be much appreciated. That is the route I am thinking of going, but X, model, but Jeep lit only shows top off with half or no doors, and I am wondering/worried about what full doors, top off looks like.

Nam...your right...no hitch...however, I have ordered the hitch through quadratech and I am taking the tow hook off...got to have a way to tow my jet skis!

When I first saw RG I was totally turned off by it...it has grown on me like no other...I wouldn't have any other color!

Cdash...I'll be taking the top off around Apr...I'm not a guy that likes to do recreational "work"...when it comes off it stays off...

The only thing that I don't understand is why would you remove the "X" sticker?
I've been kind of noticing that more and more in this forum people are removing it, like it's a trend of some sort....I just don't get it

I just didn't like it and after seeing others removed I thought it looked better with the "X" removed...

Additionally...I like the "old school" look of having "Jeep" on the front quarter panels...I will be adding them and removing the wrangler unlimited as well...I found them on e-bay...I'll take pics once completed...

I like the black decals on the Recue Green paint color.
I wish the stock decals came in a choice of black or silver.
I'm gonna switch mine over to black when I get the chance.
I think the Silver rubicons have black lettering so,
I'll be ordering a set of those decals (If I can) for my Rubi.

When I took the decals off they pretty much come off in tact and they were in silver...they guys that did my Jeep decal at the sign shop can replicate anything. I'm not sure you would have to "order" them special from MOPAR...I guess it depends on how much you want to spend and how much time you would have to put into it.

I definitely love the way black looks on the RG...but, my wife has talked me into getting chrome wheels vice black...everything else will be black...

I'm having the same thoughts. I've got a black Sahara Unlimited on the way, and I'm looking at black rims. I think it might be too blacked out, like a shapeless blob going down the road. Starting to think about chrome, or at least a chrome lip around black rims, like the Helo 6s on that lifted steel blue JK that everyone keeps posting around.

Any other black rims with chrome lip?

Dean...there are a bunch...take a look at the vendors and check out their wheels...Pro Comp makes a few, MetalMoto makes a few...I definitely like the Helo 6's the best though...

i removed all sticker s and badges from mine. i think it looks good "clean" - well, except for mud which makes it look like a jeep.

Good point, but then everyone has their own likes and dislikes too.

I'm just glad that the fenders arn't embossed where the stickers are located,
so what ever you do with the stickers it will still look normal.:yup:

I love the color, Rims look sweet. If its anything like Ohio you should seriously think about getting some cheap steal rims for the winter. Id hate to seem them get messed up in one season.

I know some people would cringe at this...but, fact is that the hood will get scratched, 1/4s will get dented and the wheels will get dinged...

Just like the bumper sticker says..."It's not a scratch it's a scar"

I just hope I can keep it from "scratching" as long as possible...
