I have a 2007 JK with a six speed trans. At 3000 rpm, I hear a rattling sound from the exhaust system, possibly a sheld. Has anyone heard this from there JK? The dealer couldn't fix it so he said to keep my windows up. Frank

If its an aftermarket exhaust look underneat to see if it is rubbing against the frame anywhere. I've seen this on a few JK's aftermarket exhausts. If it is just take it to any exhaust shop and they can bend the brackets that hold the rubber things so it won't rub anymore. It'll cost you like 10 bucks depending on the shop. :yup:

My Jk has 3200 miles on it and I also have the exhaust rattle. Mine is caused by the drivers side catalytic converters have come loose inside. At first Mine only rattles when the exhaust is cold, after it warms up and the metal expands it stopped rattling, now it rattles a lot more. Just waiting for a good time to visit my dealer for another warranty claim.
You can check yours by hitting the converters with a rubber mallet and see if they rattle

I thought my catalytic was gone aswell from the rattling when I brought it in they saw it was just a loose heat shield, problem solved in 3minutes.

Yup, got the Cat Rattle. You mentioned taking it to the dealer, did they covered it under warranty? 8300 miles and a slight dent in the Cat.

mine was rattling earlier this evening....but it was because there was some "rocky-ish" mud caked up on top of the muffler and crosspipe. Knocked it off, rattle gone.... yay!
