That is nice. I've been thinking about getting one to take on trips so that when people leave the jeep I can still talk to them. Sort of a "hey, we're leaving, get outta the bathroom" kinda thing!
Does it run on regular AA batteries or is it chargable?

For those who want the portability of the handheld, but the range and convenience of the built in, check out the Midland75-822. I have only used it in handheld form so far, but it works reasonably well. Eventually I will hook up an antenna to used the mobile function.

I just bought the same unit as you and had the antenna installed and tuned today. I went with a 4 foot Firestix antenna and it works fantastic. I talked with a trucker on Interstate 64 in Newport News and I was at Bowers Hill behind Frank's Truck stop, so the range is as good as any mobile CB out there. The range as a hand held should only be good for about a mile...:yup:
