.. and wondering if I screwed up.

Just bought a 2004 Wrangler SE with less than 3500 miles on it. It's got a few extras like cd and crap like that, but what I didn't realize is that it was only a 4 cylinder.

Besides the power issue, is there anything else about the SE series I should be aware of? And whats the deal with anything other than the SE being referred to as a 'JK'? What does JK stand for?

On the up side, I really love this thing so far. It seems solid and I used to 4 wheel up north when I was younger and am anxious to teach my kids what kind of fun you can have with one of these machines.

Sorry, no pics yet. Gotta hunt down the camera and then upload em.

So anyway, howdy all, and if you have any pointers for a newb such as me I'd love to hear em.

Hi HeavyAl, welcome to JK-Forum. I should point out that the Jeep you have is a TJ which is basically a Jeep Wrangler made between 1997-2006. The JK is the new Wrangler that Jeep just released for 2007. The "TJ" and "JK" are just the code letters Jeep gives each of their vehicle models.

In any case, you are more than welcome here as many of us including myself own a TJ too. But, I think a lot of the info you find here won't be applicable to your Jeep. You may want to check out *********.com and JeepsUnlimited.com for that :)

Hey man,

Thanks for the info. That makes sense. From the looking around I've done it looks like the TJ is customizable enough for my needs so I guess I'll stick with it for now.

Thanks again,
