weird torx bit

Does anybody know where I could get the odd-ball torx bit that fits the head of the pivot bolt on the stock fog lights on a '06 Rubicon?
I have never in my life seen a five pointed tamperproof torx bolt 'till now.

Also, does anyone know if the fog lights are the only place where this wierd bolt is used?
If they're used anyplace else on the Jeep I'll get the tool...If not then I wont bother.

You can buy a set from Pepboys or I'm pretty sure even Sears but it won't be made by Craftsman. There are a couple of other places where these bolts are used (in various sizes) including the roll bar attachments to the windshield frame. :)

Although those bolts on mine are just the standard 6 pointed Torx with a couple that have the tamperproof tit.

I'm gonna see if the stores you mentioned have a five pointed bit that will fit the fog light bolts, but I also see that Quadratec sells a Torx set, so I'll be giving them a call as well.

These will start showing up depending on vehicle age.
Torx plus slightly larger and regular torx want to strip out.

The 5 star tamperproofs can be bought from the Snap On guy...

You can also take a cold chisel and just knock out the safety bit.

Just get a screw removal set like a Grabbit or use a visegrip, then replace with regular bolts. Thats what i did in my old CJ! Oh, or weld on a nut and use a wrench, or grind the damn thing off!

A chisel would not have worked because the plastic mounting base would have most likely broke.
And I would still have needed a 5 pointed bit.

I was gonna use some vice grips, but didn't because at the time of my original post I had only had my Jeep for about 2 months and the thought of chewing up the bolt head with plyers or a set of vice grips was not an option at the time LOL. and again because of the plastic base, grinding or welding would have only made matters worse.

I actually ended up bringing it back to the dealer since it's was under the warranty (and still is).
I didn't notice that there was a hight adjustment screw in the front on the light mount.
Basicly the adjuster screw wasn't locked in, where it was supposed to be in the back of the mount, and it just needed to be snapped back into place in order to hold the light in it's adjusted position.

I had never delt with fog lights of this type before and I was under the impression that the
the funky torx bolt needed to be tightened in order to keep the light in it's proper position,
but I was wrong, mainly because I didn't look at it as well as I should have, but it has since been fixed.
