This is an old post that I couldn't link over to this board...

We went up to Tellico Sunday, to try out my new Rubicon. Less than a week old and less than 1000 miles on it. I was well pleased with everything about it, other than the ground clearance. The tires dug in really well, and the lockers and sway bar worked flawlessly. But, I drug the belly over every rock there. I took a line through some rocks that I normally wouldn't have, to try to keep from dragging, and got high centered anyway. By the time we got it off of the rock, it slid off of the trail and almost flopped onto the drivers side. Once we got it turned back up to the trail, it spun up against a tree. Luckly with the help of some other guys on the trail (Toyotas and 4 wheelers) we managed to get it back on the trail after 2 hours without any damage. :D I figure this was the best way to break it in. I'm now in the market for a lift kit and bigger tires...

Your Jeep looks great. Which creek crossing is that in the last Tellico pic? Trail 5? It looks like they are forming pylons for a bridge. That would suck. I have fond memories of that creek crossing and they keep making it easier to get through each year.

Wow- it looks like you got it hung up pretty good on those rocks and were just inches from those little trees! I like the strap through the door pillars, is that a jeep approved tow point? Quick use of the Unlimited 4 door. How did the skid plates hold up on the belly pan? New tires are sweet, did you sell the old ones?

Ciao! Ted

Yep that's the main creek crossing... They are putting bridges over all water crossings. Too much polution getting into the water. :naw:

We had winches hooked to the front and back, the strap through the door was there to keep it from flopping over on the drivers side. :yup: The skids held up fine, lots of scrapes and a few minor dents on the gas tank skid. We even had is sitting on the rear drive shaft once, scratched it, but didn't hurt it.
