Has anyone ever done this themselves. I have a growing spiderweb of cracks on my 01 Tj's windshield, it didn't bother me at all, but I will be letting my soon to be 16 daughter "borrow" it for a few years so I think I better replace it.
Just wonderng if anyone has done this themselves and if so, how difficult? special tools needed? any long term problems?

Although I have had mine replaced twice with in the first coupla months of owning it, I have never replaced it my self. I watched while the guy did it and it looked fairly easy. A sharp knife and gloves was about all he used. Ripped out the old gasket and windshield, then put in the new one, sealed it and put in the new gasket.

I installed mine on my Willys, if its anything like that,.. RUN!
It had a twom piece weather strip. One to snap down into the other one,
I'll pay someone before I do it again.

Had it done. Glad I did!
Just watching the guy remove the old one made me very happy that I left it up to a proffesional.
