Which GPS is better Garmin 60 CSX or 76 CSX? How does it do with city or road navigation and turn by turn direction? Does it give voice command?

Is the Nuvi 750 any good offroad for just tracking trails?

I would take the 76. It's more of hiker's GPS but the screen is large enough to be used in the car. The 60 series GPS is a marine bases one. I have one of these and it's fine. The 60 does not have auto routing where as the 76 does. As for voice, I don't think neither of them has it.

I have the Garmin Colorado 400t handheld. It is great for mapping out offroad trails and also works as a turn by turn street navigation when you purchase the city nav north america NT micro sd card. The nice thing is that the topo maps show a lot of trails.

I have the Colorado 300 with the Topo maps and the Street and trip SD cards, so I can switch back and forth between the two. It does not have voice turn-by-turn. As far as I am aware any of the more "hiker and off road" GPS systems are not going to do any voice commands.

WRONG, The 60cx is the handheld hiker gps, and the 76cx is the Marine GPS, as it floats. And the 60c series will do auto routing - If you have a map set that does auto routing loaded into it.
But the screen is too small on both of these units for car use IMO.
Too many other options out there for far less $ and more features.

Lowrance has two, the 600c (http://www.lowrance.com/en/Products/Automotive/iWAY-600C/) and the XOG (http://www.lowrance.com/en/Products/Automotive/XOG/) , the 600c comes with a 5" screen (640x480) complete NavTeq maps for U.S. and Can, complete set of U.S. Topo maps, and also a complete set of Marine maps, a Car cord, and windshield mount, all can be had for as low as $350, It also does tracks both imported and saved, it will hold up to 100 tracks at up to 10,000 points each ( garmin Gpsmap series only hold 20 saved tracks @ 500 points each) Most of the Garmin Nuvi and Street units do not handle tracks worth a damm, Even the new Colorado 400T only allows you to display one track at a time.
The XOG( $250)has a smaller 3.5" screen ( 320x240) and comes with the car cord, windshield mount and detailed NavTeq maps built in, you can also buy many diff map sets from Topo, USGS, Sat images etc for it.
The Garmin 60/76 series, you have to buy a mount, a Car cord, and Maps, The built in map set is worthless, as it will only show major highways, also with the Lowrance units you can zoom out much farther than the Garmin units and still see minor road detail, very handy when lost or exploring.
Most of all you can share trails etc with friends, with either Garmin users or a few others with free programs like GPSBABEL (www.gpsbabel.org/)
