ok, i'll have more "action" pics tomorrow. I was by myself today and couldn't take pics. BUT there are some from my buddy (he'll have them up tomorrow).

ok, the biggest tihng people have been freaking out about is the size and the break over angle. They ARE a factor! no denying that. The breakover isn't THAT bad though. I followed another stock X (TJ) and hit a LOT less than he did!

it is large . . . . . the best way i can describe driving it on the trail is like wheeling a limo. You have to wait what feels like an eternity to turn the wheel in tight trails. normally in a tj you could turn as soon as the tree was past the window, in the JK, you have a whole other set of windows to wait for!!!! but, it's not horrible, you just have to watch your mirrors.

It hooks up well, and is obviously flexy (it's coils after all).

it's heavy . . . . you can tell

ESP would be AWESOME to have in low . . .

for wheeling on mostly bald 265 75 16's it did AWESOME. everyone was impressed. I had a BLAST. it's super stable, climbs great, i loved it!

it did hit off the belly pan a bunch of times . . . but i rode in that stock TJ and it was WAY worse than mine!

here's a few pics of what it looks like right now (from my camera). more coming soon!

OK, so i wheeled it again today.

the BAS/ESP light came on . . . . .dunno why. it went off as soon as i got onto the pavement and went over 15mph. I'm pretty sure the tone rings were just covered in mud.

it did better today than yesterday! this is by far the most capable stock vehicle jeep has ever made.

it climbs awesome, its flexy, i finally figured out how to use the throttle without hearing the engine (it's soooo quiet).

the breakover thing is interesting. I never got "hung" on the belly. it's not like a TJ where everything under the rig hangs down. if you look under the JK, everything is sorta . . "smooth" within the frame rails. You hear scraping, and you feel it set on the frame or skid, but you just keep sliding over. it's defenitely different.

I had it in a few dry creek beds. Had some big rocks rolling under my frame/skid too. it did great! i had to watch getting it down some of them when they got narrow. Some rockers will be a welcome addition!

I think it did better today than yesterday! i'm learning how to drive it!

Sorry but all I see are X's and a pop up that wants a user name and password. Is there anyway we can get around this? I'd love to see your pics :yup:

Yeah just attach them to a post here -- your browser probably has a cookie set that lets you log in to that site. Also, wayoflife, if you could mod those posts to not include the pix so it doesn't prompt seven times, that would be good too :yup:

i was impressed with the flex on the JK, it looked good in the woods.

I still can not believe you didnt get any damage from Spooky trail (Rock Garden)

And you didnt seem to have any more issues turning than the Scrambler had.

Hey, looks like you had a great time - thanks for sharing the pics!! By the way, what's up with the strap on the last pic? Did you get hung up on something or was that attached to another vehicle behind you that we can't see?

it was a bad spot, stump on one side, tree on another, rock in the middle.

If he had some more ground clearance he would have been fine. The rear axle was getting hung up on a rock. He just need a little bump.

my TJ on 33's had some issues. nothing a little heavy throttle didnt fix!

No, the man holding the tow strap is actually pulling the JK up the hill :D
I was surprised at how well the JK did offroad, I'm really impressed.
