I'm familiar with embedding a picture, but is it possible to embed a video?
I'd rather not post a link to some, as it often takes visitors away from this site, but embedding a video in a post allows users to view while still on jk-forum.com.
I was unable to find an answer in FAQ or after a few quick searches...
Guess my question is, is it possible (and if so, how) to embed video to a post.

I don't believe it is possible on this forum---> but Wayoflifette would be able to give you the bottom line:)

I think, after viewing a couple threads and looking more at details... that the HTML code portion is disabled. In other words,

"HTML code is Off"
I guess if the html code was on, it would allow embedding...
edit: as I was typing this, HITMONEY was typing the above post... Guess someone else noticed too :yup:

I'm not an IT guy by any means, but I think the reason it's not allowed is so you can't embed other items, such as Sig pictures and such.
While it kind of stinks not having video embeded, we do have a much cleaner looking site. Some people get very carried away with their Sig Photos, and it almost takes away from the whole forum, I think...

I'm glad we don't have embedded vid, as wayland said, it's a cleaner look.

yes html tags are off so embedding is not possible. This is a good thing because otherwise we could have people embedding things that aren't so harmless.

Thats fair enough.
I have noticed that other forums do get inundated with sig pics, etc.
