I had the "ok" from the wife a while back to get a GPS but haven't brought myself to spend the money. With my birthday coming up I've mentally justified getting something:crazyeyes: I'll have to scour the forums again to see what folks like. I really don't want to spend $500 for bling and features I won't use or need. I do know I want to be able to track my movement like if on a trail or something, save my route for later use, POI's etc. I don't really need the GPS to answer my cell phone, play music, or display silly pictures of our dogs that my wife takes :rotflmao1: Something that is good for both on and off road. Decent display, thinking center dash mounted so the wife or passenger can see and/or operate it.
I have also seen websites where you can upload/download other folks mapped trails. This is something I would be interested but don't know if it takes a certain type of unit or format to distribute this info?
