Does anyone know how to "fix" the MyGiG In-dash DVD Player so that it will operate and play a DVD so the passenger can watch while driving ? I am looking to buy a 2008 Jeep Unlimited 4Door Sahara. This would influence my decision on which model, when to buy, and the like. I have seen the threads about mounting one up above the mirror but I am asking specifically about making it work on the stock unit in the dash while driving. Thanks in Advance

I know I've seen a way to get it to work on *some* units, but don't remember the trick, there was definitely another thread on this if you search it out. I'm not aware of anything official though, but by now someone might have a hack or upgrade available.

many many threads - search lockpic or allgig - they are an aftermarket device.

The Lockpick is you best choice in my opinion...
10 minute install plug and play design and easy to use.

Lockpick and Allgig are both installed exactly the same... taking the same amount of time.
Check the features and prices of both then make a decision. NavTV's cutomer service is raved about on many forums. I haven't heard anything bad about lockpick ( although they never got back to me when I e-mailed them ).

you could also just get the basic radio for now and replace the head unit with an aftermarket one. Real auto a/v stores may even add headrest screens for each passenger and other extra stuff the mygig doesn't have.

I do not show NavTV has a video solution for the Jeep. They are showing a bluetooth coming.

That one only worked if you had the software version 9.554 I think. The newer software versions wont allow you to do it. I tried it in mine and it didnt work. Your best bet is the lockpick and while ur at it buy the mic for 20 bucks. That way you can get all the use out of the mygig that you can. I have it and absoutly love it. I am at the beach right now. It shows traffic and all that good stuff. I highly recommend getting it. at 1250 bucks is a little pricy but IMO its worth it.

They were the first to have it. It was called the freegig. They also had the bluegig for bluetooth and the Allgig for everything.
Originally their prices were MUCH higher than the lockpick but they have recently come out with a USB version and lowered their prices drastically now that other companies are offering solutions for the MyGig.
