This hill was attempted by a few other rigs, some made it (the ones with lockers) and some didn't. all of them spun, even the ones with lockers:) my JK didn't spin, and doesn't have any lockers!

haha, I already have dents all over my skid plates, especially the gas tank one, it is bent up bad now!! and the jeep is covered in mud still:)
so anyone making real skids... PLEASE HURRY IT UP!!! :)
I have to get a lift too, b/c the 33" tires did rub during full articulation, but good news, the brake lock diffs worked like a charm, I did not slip spin hardly at all!
here are some more not as cool pics...
at the start of trail, from inside my girlfriend's 06 Rubicon Unlimited:

The wait will be well worth it! You will not be dissapointed at all! I'm all stock except wheels and tires, no lockers, no limited slip, no 4.1 gears, and my JK did awesome, no slips, no spins, it was awesome, I felt 100% in control the whole time, every other truck up there was spinning just on the main trail b/c it was rainy, muddy, and rocky. very impressed with my Jk's first run!! can't wait till next weekend when I abuse her again:synister:

You might have the best looking rig on the site - the mud makes it! :D I liked the video and the fact your pics weren't on pavement or in the driveway. Awesome stuff and fun to watch

Yobuck >(so anyone making real skids... PLEASE HURRY IT UP!!! )
Awsome pis's,... good to see the "X" kicked but on thows hills.
Hang in there, I'm working with "Eric' at (SKIDPlATES.COM)) using my "X" IN ALL THE PROTOTYPE SKIDPLATE DISIGNS)) We just finished the Rock Sliders & they look awsome(going out for black powder coat soon). Next week I think he'll have the (Engine / Trany) Skid completed & ready to test fit to my "X'.(great protection with this one. The Gas Tank might be next, and a full Skid over the Muffler is the plans. He's looking at everything, I'll keep everyone posted. Go into Skidplates.com and you can see a lot of his products from the TJ.

I have some friends at VAXC.org that use Skid Row skids on their Xterras, and I've heard good things about them, so I can't wait!
Would also like Shrockworks (http://www.shrockworks.com/) to get some out, I love Jim's work, had his sliders and front bumper and front skid plate on my last Xterra.

Hey, I know that hill. It's in the George Washington National Forest in VA. I've been up and down that hill in my Jeep. Fun, wasn't it.
