Saw a commercial for that the other day on, I think, the Outdoor Channel. Sounds like an excellent piece of equipment for hikers, campers, and even the extreme wheelers who can be out of cell phone reach for a long time sometimes.

I have seen the same commercial. That thing looks really neat. Would be really nice to have if traveling through remote areas.

If I get a dirt bike I am going to get one. I might get one regardless.

I think it is worth it even if you travel to remote areas with others, since it can take a very long time to summons help if an emergency arises.

I like this! :yup: Have been thinking about a satphone but it's hard to justify the cost of the service. This is a great solution. I was really surprised at the price of both the unit and the service. :thumbsup:
