with gas so high i've started re-thinking transportation. i've been commuting to/from work now (16 mi round trip) for 2 weeks now. i gotta say i'm not sure why i never started this earlier. i actually look forward to waking up early and getting a workout in. feels good to only have to put 50 miles on the jeep in 2 weeks. jeep is pretty much my weekend vehicle now.

I would if I could take a shower at work. I ride 16 miles before work but then I drive to work 8 miles away.

i drive an extra 10 minutes to park so i can ride into work. there's just no feasable way to ride from my house.

but i save 8-14 bucks in parking when i ride.

this morning i rode 10 miles in on the rails to trails. 29.7 mph top speed  on my mountain bike lol.

i forgot my car keys and GPS on the dash of my jeep (DOH!) so rode all the way back, picked em up, and rode back into town. At least i missed rush hour traffic. That's always fun on the bike :)

I have an extra bike rack for my company car, so that I can ride to work and then drive home, if need be.

Either way, my JK stays parked except on weekends these days.
