i like it. :yup: its nicely organized and its easy to get around. my only complaint is that watermark of yours. I don't know if that's something you added or the site smugmug is adding. I get the impression you are adding it cause other users don't have water marks on their photos and none of your jeep shots have a water mark on them. Its not that you shouldn't water mark them, its just that i'd do something a little less invasive of the photo. but that's my only negative comment. otherwise, you have some amazing photos!

Thanks! Ya I think I need to rework the watermark too... Maybe just something on the bottom third of the pics...

Great site! How about a cover page with just your site name and a photo? visit shinnphoto.com, a photographer friend of mine.

Thanks! I'm actually working on a flash slide show of my pics as a splash page and a navigation bar at the top similar to the one at your friends site.

I'm going to agree that the watermark needs to be much smaller. Why not just put your name and a copyright mark down in one of the corners of each photo. My son posts a lot on the Canon forum and most of the members there use this method. I liked several of your shots but I think some need some more work. Too much stuff just looks like snapshots. I liked the coin with the flag in the background, also the waterfall pics but I think you could go with a much slower shutter speed to blur the water further, I love water that looks like clouds flowing. I'm not much on fireworks photos, they all seem to look alike unless there is a skyline or something in the photo with them to add perspective, I did like the one you posted with this feature. And of course, who doesn't like a Jeep photo? One thing I have learned through the years is to look at your shots and then go back to the location and reshoot, you will be surprised how much you can improve by doing this. I hope I don't come across as being sarcastic or negative about your work here. I've been shooting photos for 30 years and I still learn when I bring my work to the camera club to have it critiqued. Keep at it, I still love photography after all these years and now my son has taken quite an interest in it also, so I get double the fun now. :)

I've done my share of bridals and I think these are good. I'd say #46 is my favorite of the group but they are all nice. The only suggestion I have is to include one or two full shots. You have a lot of detail work and some interesting angles and poses and a lot of fun images but it's always wise to include a few boring and traditional bridal images.

Did you shoot the ceremony?

Great suggestions! The bride already had some formal bridal portraits from a professional photographer, so I decided to have a little more fun with these. That is a very good tip though about including more formal poses. I will have to remember that!

No I didn't shoot the ceremony, this was primarily a favor to me so I could practice shooting bridal portraits...

What kind of camera/lenes are everyone using?

I have a 50d, kit lens (28-105), 50mm 1.8, 70-200 F4 L, 85mm 1.8 and soon to have a 10-22mm.

To OP, great pictures. what do you use most of the time?

You get high marks for presentation, layout and ease-of-use. Now you need to put some more photos up there (preferably of your Jeep in far-out, hard-to-reach destinations).
