Was there a topic for "Anything and Everything" or something like that?

Anyway, I hava a small alminum fishing boat and it leaks (still floats).. and the inside gets wet. After seeing people bedlineing inside of the JK, that gave me an idea of doing this to my boat.

Do you tihnk this would help stop the leak? or do you think this is a stupid idea?

Anyone has done something like this?

Thanks

Guys, thanks for the input and I think I am going to hecurline it. I will probably do outside and see how it works, that will be the next spring project.

Just pean the rivets a bit. You can use a hammer and a backing hammer or board (1 person can 2 is better). It should tighten up any leaks. You can also use an epoxy or even one of those propane torch "welding" rods to fill around the rivets and stop leaks. The bedliner might work bt a leak in a rivited jon boat is due to loose rivets and they either need to be fixed or replaced. You can bedline a boat but I would not do it to stop leaks.

Thanks for your input, but that sounds almost too difficult for me. I am not handy at all and I was looking for an easy solution. Not that herculining would be an easy fix :)

I have a pretty good idea of where it's leaking, so maybe I could try to put some epoxy. Now that's something that I think I can do.

thanks for your input though.
