So, I'm looking for a GPS for the jeep now. I've done some searching and liked the Lowrance XOG, but have heard the battery life sucks...which is not something I like. I'm looking for something thats relatively cheap and will have full city maps as well as topo/offroad maps available. Keep in mind I am in canada if that makes any difference! So what else is out there for me? Thanks all.

Why are you worried about Battery life if you are going to run it in the Jeep? You can plug it in with the included car cord, Plus while it is plugged in it is always charging the battery,
Just curious

If you want one mainly for the vehicle, make sure it has a large memory so full maps can be loaded and you don't have to switch cards. Large touch screen also is helpful. Beyond that, I can't offer much advice on a brand or model, I have MyGig, which works fine most of the time.

I have a Garmin street pilot. It came with maps for Canada, United States And Europe. So far it has not failed me. I use it for work on a ambulance and it needs to be reliable:thumbsup:
