I am yet to see a thread with strictly motorcycle pics, so I figured, let's start one.

And for a bonus, post your MPGs for others to see how great these things can be!
- Maybe even your thoughts on how you like the bike.

Here is my 07 Yamaha FJR 1300. Lots of fun and 50 MPG highway, 42 city.

- Pwr adjustable windshield
- Adjustable seat height
- Adjustable side fairing
- Adjustable suspension
- On board computer with MPG, Temp, trip distance, DTE when low on fuel.
- Linked ABS standard
- 145 wonderful HP!
- About a thousand miles a month riding (when weather permits!)

This bike is GREAT for touring and 2 up touring. I've been through BMWs and a Honda ST1300. This is by far my favorite. Maybe a bit buzzy at speed on the hwy, but just add Throttlemeister and you'll be set.

full dress isnt my thing, i like stripped down bikes, i would love something like that, but sans the chrome, i am into basic black.

We are tearing down and repainting it flat black with red white pin striping, now, I also want to paint the engine and covers balck, but the wife likes a little bling on it....:thumbsup:

Ahh I see the errors of my ways!

How bout some specs on the beast. She is at the shop getting finished up as we speak.
07 1098, Full quat-d race system, fat duc modulator, speedy moto red pressure plate and open clutch cover (gotta love dry clutch), clutch slave, sargent seat, fabbri dark tint wind screen, LP smoke integrated tail light, mirror blank off plates, bar end mirrors, bar end turn signals, oddessy batt....and I think that's it. It's fast, should be putting around 150hp to the ground now. I'm gonna dyno in the spring.
Obviously my 1st love!

Thanks, the new bikes are insane. I really wanted to get the new RMZ 450, with fuel injection, but thats not in the cards right now.

Thanks, service is def not cheap. I just paid 700 and some change to have various things done. My buddy paid 1400 for his 7500 mile service. But the thumbs up I get and other riders breaking their necks when a FLOCK of Ducs going flying by...Priceless! The sound alone of a L-twin roaring and my open clutch banging away is enough to.....hmmm NSFW..lol.

Seriously, it's a great bike. A little expensive but A LOT more fun to ride then a inline 4. To each their own though. Keep chucking the deuces and ride safe!

Since your a dirtbiker,, do yourself a big favor,, instead of heading right for the monster,, check out the Hyper from ducati.. its more fun than should be legal on the street.. One of my riding buddies picked one up to replace his v-rod and has been very happy with it..

Well....this is going to be my project in a couple of years depending on funds and time.

1937 Nimbus Type A - nicknamed "Stove pipe" 4 cylinder 750cc. Made in Denmark by Fisker and Nielsen.

It was passed down from my Grandfather in Denmark who passed away 7 years ago. He had since new!... While I was over in Denmark 2years ago we found it in my Grandfather's old barn on his property in Sonderborg, DK. When I saw it I told my Grandmother I would love to have this thing shipped over and pass it on down to my son Mattias. So, she said she had no use for it and was just going to have someone take the thing.

I just recently had it shipped over to Canada and hope to do a little more work on it depending on funds........but it's in pretty good shape and still runs after changing oil and greasing up a few things. I still have not taken it out on the road....winter time....have to wait till spring!

Everybody ride safe. A guy on one of the MC forums I'm on was riding with his wife the other day and witnessed a van pull out in front of another guy on a bike. Even though he was in full gear, he had no chance and unfortunately passed away.

Be extra careful, I don't want to see any of you become a statistic.

I just bought my JK 2-dr hardtop about a month ago, but this motorcycle thing I CAN talk about. LOL I own a 2003 GSX-R1000, a 2003 Honda RC-51, a 2007 Ducati 1098 (yellow), and also a 2008 Honda CBR1000RR.

I have photos, but I am at work here in Japan right now. I will try to post from my laptop when I get home in the morning. Nightshift sucks. LOL.

I saw some of the other posts, and I can say the Ducati is a money pit, as are all the others. It is fast, but as I also have an inline 4, I can say.....it is not fast enough. I have done half the stuff to the Honda that I have to my Ducati, and it is making about 172hp.......way more than needed.

The Honda will blast the Duck.

Took a ride with my buddy Kenny last Tuesday to Newport, RI. This pic is at Fort Adams State Park.

I have a 2004 Honda Shadow Spirit 750 that I finally got back on this year after she sat in my shed for 2 1/2 years while I had serious hip problems. Double hip replacements at age 37 last summer fixed that and I am happily back in the saddle. :thumbsup:

i used to love my 2006 636.it was my old daily driver before i got ran over by a 19 year old girl on a cell in a parking lot. she broke my sternum, two bones in my right ankle, left femur, tibia and shattered my fibia, had 47 stiches in my right hand and, a bunch of stiches everywhere else.

but then i go look at the jeep that i finnally was able to afford with the help of some insurace money and it makes the rod in my leg feel all better!

My former two bikes. I sold both of them in the last couple of months due to life changes. I miss both of the offered a great variety in riding. I just rode the TAT trail from Jellico, TN to Trinidad, CO this summer. I had 21k miles on my Harley as well.

I already miss riding!

I have had a couple road bikes but that is my first dirt bike. I just bought the YZ maybe a month ago and have a total of 2 rides in! It was a motox race bike I bought from a friend/co-worker who races. I more than likely won't be doing any racing but may play around on some tracks. My parents have a farm I can trail ride on and next summer maybe do some state trails once I figure out if I want to try and make it road legal.

Guess not too many British types here?

Kind of suprised too by the amout of HD's and Metric Clones, can understand the Enduro's, BMW's and too some extent Sport-Bikes but that is really somewhat interesting with the Cruisers. Nothing against them, just wouldn't figure that kind of bike for the traditional Jeep owner demographic.

It's all good anyways, cause I wouldn't fit into what I expected the normal demographic to be either!

I have two Bonnie's one restored 68 and one of the first 01's when Triumph came back into production. Also a 65 CZ and 74 Honda 175 Enduro (after Nuclear war only thing left is that Bike and Cockroaches).

Ok, I'll join in. I got two bikes. A Harley Softail classic, and a custom chopper.

When I finally got a chopper, I wanted a custom, no cookie-cutter choppers for me. Something that stands out in a crowd. My 4-year boy old came up with the paint idea.
Some metalwork detail of the bike includes spider w/web under the tree, web on the battery/oil cover sides, webs on the rear axle.

Frame, tank and fenders are a modified Nasty Boy "Recluse" kit out of Ontario Canada, 250 Venom-2 rear tire, SandS 100inch engine (~1650cc?), 5-speed Ultima transmission, 4inch open primary - 45 degrees of rake (40 in forks, 5 in the tree). Seat by Hot Rod's Upholstery of Waukegan IL, paint by Alcalde Customs of Arlington Hgts IL. Bike built by Big John of New Age Choppers in Beach Park, IL.

It hauls plenty fast with that 100inch engine, very light, and plenty long enough to avoid wheelies when you romp on that sucker. Just gotta hang the F*** on!!!

The Harley is an FLSTC, Heritage Softail Classic. It's an 07 (96", 6 speed) I picked up new. Haven't done too much to it. Mustang seats, engine guards, highway pegs, passenger boards, engine fan with cowbell relocation, thunderheader pipes... basic bolt on junk. It's the comfort ride. The chopper is the hotrod.

i'm not sure why i thought i needed a project bike.

next i want to take the wheels off an paint them. they were painted white and its chipping pretty bad. i'm thinking of painting them bronze. I want to paint the bike pearl white to match my prelude. if i don't paint the bike then the bronze might not match the red/white/blue theme, lol
