D'you want the best? Take a look at The Partner Stove. :-) A bit pricey, but you can't really find a better / tougher stove... Here's where I got mine...

Yup you are right ...those are pretty pricey !!!!:yup:

After buying the tent ...I dont think I can afford buy a 300 dollar stove ....

But maybe for xmas ....:ya: How do you like yours ?

no not self lighting..but..I always have a lighter ...good to keep on hand anyways (fires etc. ) or I have light anywhere water proof matches in my camping gear

I prefer my gas (not propane) Coleman stove, not matter the altitude or the temp the burners operate the same.

That is pretty sweet. :thumbsup: Might have to put that on my Christmas list! We go through Coleman's every few months. They just don't make them like they used to!

yep, the old camp fuel coleman has always worked for me. Summer, Winter, at altitude, works consistantly every time

I just bought a jetboil after using my buddies on our trip last week. WOW the thing is great.

Great is an understatement, those stoves are absolute perfection for any backpacker, canoeing, etc. etc.

I like the older Coleman gas stoves. Jeeps don't run on propane, and you already probably got gerry cans with you if you're campin. I have an early 70s 3 burner version. Works very well. :thumbsup:

I had one of those as a youngster but got a Svea. Gave the Svea to my brother and now have the Coleman propane; I carry 20+ pounds of propane though...
