First part of the ruins. "Trail" goes around to the right. The ruins go on for over 200 yards on a shelf of rock 300 feet above the canyon floor. In some places the trail is 1 foot wide.

My family inside a perfectly preserved Kiva. We found several pottery shards and artifacts (that we left).

We've been to the Blanding area a few times, but we've never explored it in depth. I guess we have to re-add that to our list of places to go. Great pics! Thanks!

I have been to all those places! Arn't they great! There is all kinds of stuff in those canyons, just look at any of the south facing parts of the canyons and there is a good chance you will see something from a grainery up to a whole set of ruins. Just please leave everything as you found it and obey any signs if posted near the ruins. These things are great bits of history and the only way they will stay for our kids and grandkids is if we don't deface or destroy them. Sometimes all it takes is the oils from your skin or you walking through something to ruin it.

Awesome pics!!!

I am not afraid of heights, but man, you have some brave kids. Those pics on the narrow part of the shelf are a little scary even to me, considering it's kind of like slick-rock, nothing to grab onto, and a huge drop I don't think most people would survive...
