2.5 questions please:

- What kind of scope do you have on your SOCOM and do you like it?

- How does the SOCOM group?

I have a NCStar a very cheap scope $100.00 3-12x. I have never been able to get it dialed/zeroed in. As a disclaimer I am a very amature shooter, so as far as scientific MOA and grouping I do not know. I have shot a lot with Iron sites and with my EOTECH and it is increadibly acurate at 100yds I was popping coke cans with ease, and like I said I am a very amature shooter. This is the first rifle I have ever owned, and I had my XD only a year before that. I did not grow up shooting so I am learning as I go. Right now I am building my AR15 if I can ever find a 20" upper. They are out of stock everywhere! I love my SOCOM II would not trade it for anything, but it took like 6 months to get in that configuration, because the company that makes the rail system was backlogged due to the war.

How does the SOCOM group?

If I may interject on this one, I've never actually measured my groups, but milk jugs fear for their lives at 350 yards with open sites. I've been very pleased with it.

Here's some pics of my favorites.
The Browning is a full auto 1919a4 that sits on an original Colt 1928 tripod.
There's also an M16, M11 and Uzi (all three are full auto). The AR15 is semi auto.
The one I get the most fun out of is the Walther P22 with the Gemtech suppressor.

Actually, those are 37" Goodyear MT's. Had them on my H1 prior to "stepping up" to the JK.

Hey - what in the world is on the end of that Mossberg 500...the end of the barrel? I have the same exact shotty, setup the same way with the recoil reducing stock. Just was curious to the piece on the end as it looks real cool. Also, how does it go on there? Clamp? Lemme know - and where I can get one! Thanks.

It's a limited edition of the 500A that came out a while back, called Rolling Thunder, the thing you see on the end is a barrel stabilizer with a picatinny rail. It did not come with the stock, but rather a pistol grip, and the stabilizer came with it. I havn't seen many, so when I found one at a gun dealer I jumped on it.

Yea, I've seen breachers. Don't know if this could be used for breaching or not, but not gonna try. This is simply a fancy looking muzzle brake.

Here is my Socom II. I got a scope for it for christmas. Its fun to shoot. I took it to the range a couple sundays ago and sighted it in. I need to figure a way to put a strap on it. I saw tacticle slings, but that is not what I want. [:thinking:] It is alot of fun to shoot..

I've had to get rid of my collection a couple of years ago for financial reasons. Today, I placed an order so I can rebuild my collection again. In 4 to 6 weeks, I'll be receiving my Norinco M305/M14. Next, I have to order a few upgrades for it, and start tinkering. I can't wait.

Sometime this summer I'll be picking up a Browning Buckmark Camper for some plinking. In due time, I'll grab a Mossberg 500 JIC, a custom Remington 700 (.308) for some medium to long range target practice and in a couple years I hope to pick up a long range system. I'm still on the fence about this one. I'm contemplating firing some Lapua .338, but I have time to think and try some out ...
