 Will it be like camping next to someone who runs their generator all night? Hopefully the little booger is not too noisy! Cool concept though, like a adult bounce house :brows:

I like this quote at the bottom of their add:
Bottom line, AirZone Tents are the easiest camping tent to come along. Your kids will fight over who gets to set it up. Just sit back and relax, there is nothing to go wrong. There is always something that can go wrong. :rotflmao2:
I wonder what kind of wind speeds it will stand up to.

Exactly. Until you experienced the joy of having your tent dismembered by the storm you are taking shelter from, many people take for granted that requirement. I got to learn my lesson by accompanying a group up a mountain ascent where we lost 2 tents (not mine) and had to buddy up in the surviving tents.

That's why I brought it up. My wife, kiddo, and I had a tent shredded in a thunderstorm pushing 60 mph gusts. Spent the rest of the night in the JK. Kinda ruined some of the fun that evening.

One little pellet and the tent will.......
Also subject to hot and cold, just like when you're in a swimming pool. ;)

13.75lbs for a 2 person tent, are you kidding me?:eek2: The 4 person is over 16lbs. I'll stick to poles and save a bunch of weight and probably space as the "poles" have innertubes, so I can't imagine they pack up very small.

I admit that I didn't look over the specs but those weights are outrageous! I think my Northface Tadpole 2.5 is under 4lbs and I know it will take any 3 season storm. Our Hilleberg Nallo 4 GT is a little over 7lbs and it can survive in Antarctica.
Why would anyone want a tent that heavy even if you were tossing it in a Jeep?

you guys are funny worrying about 13lbs, and then put a 100lb bumper on your JK :rotflmao2:  I mean face it- this is not a tent for a hiker/back-packing. This is one for carrying in your rig. And for that purpose, what does it matter that it weighs 13lbs? You still need to tote along some air source which will way more.
ANyone notice that the only one available is the 2 person one?
I was comparing it to backpack tent because it is styled like one, for that kind of weight you could carry a small canvas wall tent in your Jeep, it would erect just as fast and probably be as sturdy if not more so. A canvas wall tent would be roomy as hell too.

They borrowed the same designs from these guys....

yeah I dont see a tent suffocating ---
I was trying to find that nemo site, because I saw those dudes on the Today show some weeks back - that stuff looks realy stout. As you can read on their website, apparently one of the guys just went back to school to work on this idea. And when you see it demonstrated, theres no question it has some rigidity.
I think I'd be interested in one of these when the price goes down - and I'd be willing to bet that this will be the new standard.

UUUUGGGHHHH!!!!!!
There is always 1 in the crowd.
I like the concept of the tent but I would have to see it in action during a bad storm before trusting it.

Good point that the weight doesn't matter because its a 'rig tent' since you need that air source too. That brings all of this back to the fact that they're just re-inventing the wheel to make money. If its a 'rig tent' and weight doesn't matter, why not just.... hummm.... lets say save your money and keep your tent with poles?????????????? Hahahaha... if you're going for a backpacking tent/shelter check out Ray Jardine or Six Moon Designs... talk about tents under 1lbs.!
