An overhaul kit includes,
Carrier and Pinion Bearings ,
Pinion Crush sleeve or Shims
Ring gear bolts
marking compound
Pinion seal
Carrier Shims
That is what is typically in a overhaul kit. Now bieng the jeep is so new you can make the case that you do not need to replace your bearing but We always change out bearings. Bearings are very cheap considering the money that you have in the complete diff.

not to mention changing the ring gear bolts. I always use new bolts when doing gears.
which brings a question what size bolts are being used with these gears and instal kits ? are they making the ring gears with the larger dia bolts yet ??

Is it just me or is that statement confusing?
Are they available, or are you still waiting for them and deciding on a price?
I didn't see them on your site, so if you have them, how much?
Thanks. :)

Can you provide a detailed list of what is and isn't included in both the "install" and "overhaul" kits? Seals, bearings/races, ring gear bolts, etc.
Thanks. :D

As for ring gear bolts, do you guys normally replace those when re-gearing a vehicle? I've heard yes and no from different people.

David,
I'm thinking of installing an Auburn Gear ECTED (rear only) when my jeep is delivered. Does the overhaul kit include everything I would need to install the ECTED? Or is the overhaul kit overkill?
Thanks

I personally dont think the overhaul kit is ever overkill We use them on every axle we build.
