Q on factory sub

I have the base radio, but noticed I have a wiring harness by the right rear roll bar.

I went to the dealer & verified that harness plugs into the sub.

My question: Is the sub powered? It appears to be a simple pug'n'play. One one of the other forums I thought I had read there is an amp somewhere under the dash. If I don't have that amp, I assume I can not have the sub.

Sub needs an amp -

Maybe the harness plugs into the amp which powers the sub?

Amp and sub comes with the 386 watt speaker system.

Turn on radio and measure the plug with a multimeter. That will tell you if it is live, at least. I would imagine the other end is dangling under the dash somewhere waiting for an amp to be plugged into it.

I bet you're right. The sub wiring is prob part of the bigger wire harness.
