well, i have to be honest. i think the mopar mirror mover kit is horrible looking. I know some people have it, but man, i can't justify spending the $ on something like that. anyway, i'm standing in my garage today, and i realize i have a TJ mirror that came with my YJ (for some reason). so i figured huh, what the heck.
step 1. remove rubber/plastic tube that covers ball in cup that the mirror moves on.
step 2. sawzall at the base of the ball&cup. not on the mirror side, on the bracket side.
step 3. bend a small piece of random steel to a 90 degree bend
step 4. drill 2 holes. 1 for mirror to go into, and 1 for the bolt to hold it to the jeep. the particular steel i had laying around already had holes drilled in it. bonus!
step 5. booger weld (in my case) the mirror post to the new bracket.
step 6. i used a small piece of rubber usually used to shim bike lights to buffer the metal and my paint.
step 7. bolt er on.

since you retain the cup in ball you retain full adjustability. Plus, you don't have a big nasty bracket hanging off the side. I'll probably eventually work out a wing nut type bolt so i can quick change this on and off.
anyway, just thought i'd share.
