Loaded up the trailer and family for a fun weekend of camping. Great time at the lake, but terrible gas mileage pulling that thing!!

Very funny! I'd like to see a jeep set up to pull a 5th wheel :)

WOW....I bet the back seat was cramped with the 5th wheel connector.....Not to mention the head room.....:eek!: :rotflmao1:
I'm gonna get away with just towing this around instead.

why would u want your jeep & tent connected anyway

Exactly!! I've been wondering what the big advantage is to having it connected to the vehicle. Storage? Well, maybe, but why not just park your jeep close to a regular tent, you'd still have the same storage.
I can think of a bunch of negatives, like leaks, mud, not to mention there's undoubtedly going to be some funky air in the jeep the next morning...
I'll stick with a normal tent and "rough" it. :)
My kids would love sleeping and playing up there in the back and off the ground. Also, in most camping parks you can't play music very loud at all and this way you could play it low and still hear it.

IMHO, a backpacking tent and some light gear is all you really need. Save the gas and live it up. :yup:

If you go on any shopping website, search for SUV TENT and there are so many for way less than the MOPAR ($286) You can find a good one for about a hundred bucks if you look around. I ordered one for $119 that is a 5 person with a connector "sock" to the vehicle.
Connector sock, that's what I'll look for. Thanks armycop.
