http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o146/Biglynny/IMGP2090.jpg?t=1164176841I guess we'll see if it attaches. Anyway- it's a '82, fuel injected on a Clifford intake, balanced & Blueprinted Inline 6, 3 in to 1 headers dualed off the rear corners, 5 spd w/ hurst lenkage, reverse shackles, warn winch, Cobra CB, Rhino lined, 4 in. lift, Warn spots on the cowl,Pioneer CD w/200watts, 33 in. swampers and the darn thing will go anywhere. It's not an extreme buggy that'll take up big rocks but it's perfect for raising the hair on your neck on trail runs. My kids love it ...or did...until we got the JK.:rotflmao1: http://s119.photobucket.com/albums/o146/Biglynny/th_IMGP0867.jpg

The old CJ... hated to sell it, I built this thing from the ground up, but with kids, I needed a family wheeler, that's why I have the 4 door rubi...
Stats were front and rear dana 60's, 107" Wheelbase, chevy 350 bored .040 over probably pushing around 400 HP, chevy SM465 tranny, dana 300, 39.5x13.50-17 Iroks on H2 wheels. 4 wheel disk brakes, a little of this, and a little of that

wow jeff that thing looks awesome. Did you say you were gonna restore the other one you have?
Yeah, pretty much, it's not going to be too extreme. Plans for it are a 4.0L stroked out to 4.7L, Front Dana 44, and rear ford 8.8, 4.5" RE Lift, 35-36" meats, although I have 2.5" BDS springs I was going to use in a spring over, but decided against it. Stock wheel base. The original plan was to outboard the front springs to accomodate the Waggy 44, but I have a Chevy 44 that I will have cut down so I won't have to ouboard the springs. The goal is to be able to put this thing back original If I want too, no frame mods or body mods. Hence the 4.7 stroker instead of a V-8 Conversion

This picture is almost 20 years old. It would have been taken in about 1989. This is a 1977 CJ5 I drove for my senior year in high school and first two years of college. It had a 304 V8 and a 3spd. It had 3.54 gears , a 1 piece rear axle conversion, and a LSD. It also had a rebadged Warn 8274. The tires were 33" Powercats cleared by a 2" body lift and a add-a-leafs.
Oh the good old days...................

I'd like to see $4500.00. The new owner will probably need to retune the carb. The choke take 5 minutes or so at first start on a cold morning to calm down. After that period of huffing and puffing it idles really nicely all day. It's not in perfect shape and that's why I'm not asking more. I have all kinds of plans and was starting to collect parts for it. But, I just don't have the time to spend on it. Unfortunately, I think I'm going to have to settle for milder trails with the new JK. That's ok, cause I've always enjoyed just putting along a trail anyway.

Now thats what I call reverse rake
What you can't see in the first image is the ass end jammed full of gear, tools, liquid ballast, and whatever else 2 people might need for a week in Colorado. Didn't use half of it  Oh and the 2 cans on the bumper, one water and one fuel. It was loaded down!
Empty it sits about 3/4" higher in the rear than the front.

I've had several CJ-5's but this is the only one that was recent enough to have digital pics made of it(yes I'm that old). Its a 283 SBC powered 72' that I did all of the work to myself including paint and all electrical. It was locked/locked(30/44) and geared 4.10.

Well, here's a shot of the '83 CJ8 Scrambler I rescued from a farm in eastern, PA. This was taken right before I put it on the trailer. She ain't real pretty, but she's pretty solid except for the floorboards! When I finish the mods on my '93 YJ, I'll be jumping over to this project!:D

I tried to DD it for a few weeks, but my high school income didn't enjoy the 4 MPG :rotflmao1: 4" Skyjacker, 33" AT's, 3.55's, 1-pc M20, and a built 304. 2-low clutch dumps were fun on the pavement.

Specs please...?! :what?:
1978 CJ-7 widen 30 inches
454 f.i. installed in April with 40,000 miles
700R4 with all the goodies approximately 5,000 miles
Dana 60 front with 35spline axles, warn hubs, 5.86 gears and an ARB air locker and crossover high steer kit with an AGR box and Rock Ram hydraulic assist
Dana 70 rear with disc brakes, 5.86 gears, and an ARB locker
205 t-case
46” Mickey Thompson Baja Claws on 12” wide Weld stonecrusher wheels with Staun inflatable internal bead locks
9000 lbs winch
3 buckets and a console in the front
3 windshield wipers
3 separate fuel tanks
2 Rancho RS 9000 on each corner that can be controlled from inside.
This Jeep was built by a master fabricator/auto body tech. This was a 4 year project with well over 2000 hrs invested. This Jeep is all steel, no kit or fiberglass. This project was accomplished using a donor CJ-7 to add 30” to the overall width. This has got to be the only Jeep that is 2 1/2” wider than a Humvee. While very unique, great care was taken to retain the classic CJ features, just on a bigger scale.
The interior is full of custom touches. There is over 200 hrs in the dash alone. There is a fuel gauge to monitor each of the three fuel tanks, trans temp, oil press, water temp, volts, speedo, tach, and even gauges for the remote controlled Rancho RS9000 shocks. The glove box door is actually built from a CJ-7 tailgate. A custom linkage was also built to position the t-case lever right next to the B&M shifter in the center console. How many Jeeps have room for three bucket seats and a center console up front! There is a Kenwood stereo with four speakers to supply the tunes.
Power is supplied by a throttle body injected 454 Chev with the original computer, wiring and emissions controls still in place. The only mods are the one-off “HUMMTHIS” aluminum valve covers and a superchip in the ecm. This tranny is a newly rebuilt TH700-R4 with all the best parts to live behind big block torque. This is a great tranny because of the low 1st, with an overdrive and a short overall length. Power is then sent to the bulletproof NP205 T-case. The front axle is a very desirable Dana 60 sourced from a one ton Chev. It is all new with 35spline axles, warn hubs, 5.86 gears and an ARB air locker. Steering is controlled by a crossover high steer kit with an AGR box and Rock Ram hydraulic assist kit. A rebuilt Dana 70 with disc brakes, 5.86 gears, and an ARB resides in the rear. 46” Mickey Thompson Baja Claws are mounted on 12” wide Weld Stonecrusher wheels. Staun inflatable, internal bead locks keep the tires on when aired down. There is approx 5K just in wheels, bead locks and tires!
If you enjoy owning a vehicle like no other, that is at home on and off road, and don’t mind the attention you’ll receive, then this is the Jeep for you. I have people taking pictures as I drive down the road and anytime I stop for gas. It draws attention like nothing else I have ever seen. Keep in mind what this vehicle would cost to duplicate: 2000+ hrs @60hr plus all the parts.
It is for sale or trade for built JK or TJ or diesel 4x4 pu or ???
I just don't get to drive it much and it sits in my buddies shop where he drives it more than me:what?:
