View Full Version : Diaper under carpet?

Changed mats in the JK couple weeks ago and noticed carpet was damp. after lifting it up so it would dry I noticed a white rather thick pad underneath.:eek2: Have no idea what it's for but I riped it out. Don't think that thing would have ever dried, more than likely would have gotten moldy. Drain plugs all good I'm sure the pad got soggy from the winter snow.Just thought I'd pass it along I know many are tearing out the carpet to Line-x or what ever but I'm thinking the majority don't and they may not discover this thing until it get gross and possibly causes rust!:doh:

My 09 4dr has that under the carpet. The 07 2dr did not have it.

Yea I flooded mine last month... and after 2 days it still wasn't dryin' out so I pulled both front pieces and man that 'diaper was soaked! Hung those babies in the kitchen over the stove with the oven door open- all dry in a couple hours. :D

yea mine has diapers to but it is only 1 year old, should be out of them soon

It's a heat blanket to prevent the carpet from getting hot under your feet. A running change on the production line.....fiberglass:D

just tear that carpet out and herculine or line-x your tub...
