The Gargoylette's 08 Grand Cherokee diesel came with the factory tow package which has both the 4 and 7 pin trailer plugs.
The 7 pin has the trailer brake pin for a feed which we need to use.
(1) checked that pin for power with the brakes applied in park mode
-no feed present
(2) went to dealer and ordered the adapter harness to plug in my Tekonsha
progressive brake controller that I use in the JK in conjuction with the Mopar
7 pin wiring harness I installed which works fine.
(3)The harness arrived #82210512 and it is the proper part as listed in the
accessory book but the plug to the controller doesn't match up.
The Tekonsha controller has 4 flat pins horizontal - - - -
The mopar harness has 4 pins verticle I I I I
Has anyone got a solution other than ordering a second Tekonsha plug which is supposed to be universal "plug-and play"?
Even if I do that has anyone got sugestions on wiring that up--locations?:thinking:
