Clunk in rear end

I think i know the answer...but i still want another oppion. I have a 95 cherokee auto and while driving down the road, it clunks when you let off the gas. It also clunks when you shift it from park to drive.

Try greasing the spindles on the driveshaft. Mine used to do that too, even with new U joints. Simple, easy fix that works for most people. Its a common XJ issue. One of them at least, XJs had a lot of annoying issues like that.
