The new JK gives you the maximum amount of flexibility with the new Freedom Hardtop. However, it is still a hassle to locate the right Torx wrench and loosen/tighten the hardtop bolts. Cool Tech LLC offers these convenient T-bolts that you simply install and tighten by hand. Installation/removal of the hardtop is substantially easier and less time consuming. The kit also includes two Allen-head stainless fasteners to optionally replace the hidden Torx bolts under the Freedom panels. For maximum durability and longevity, Cool Tech's hardtop quick-release fasteners are constructed of stainless steel. The will not rust or discolor and they will last for years and years! The kit includes 6 new fasteners to replace the Freedom Top Torx bolts along the bed rail and two stainless Allen-head bolts to optionally replace the hidden bolts under the freedom panels.

Actually, doesn't it take 8 bolts on the Hard top? What do you do about the two bolts that go underneath the front panels(one on each side). I had thought about using some of these, but figured that I'd still need a wrench for those two bolts. Do you just leave them out? Thanks.

Yes, BLKRUBI, you are correct - I should have been more explicit. This kit also includes two stainless allen fasteners for the hidden Torx bolts under the panels. The Allen is a little more convenient than the Torx (at least most people will have them) and the thumb bolts for the rails can be a substantial time saver.

I'll chime in here to say that I have these "t-bolts".

I ordered them off of Ebay. They work well but
don't answer the B-pillar bolt issue. I have
left the B-pillar bolts out successfully though.

Ok thanks, not4re, that what's I was wondering. I had thought about getting some of these, but was unsure about those other two bolts. And that's true, a very quick time saver for the other six though.

fanthom, that's where I had originally seen something similar. So you have left the front two out with no problems? That would make them worth it them.
