Last night a pretty intense thunderstorm came rolling through Oklahoma City. I took a couple shots of my Jeep that I wanted to share ...

I was surprised how fast this storm passed overhead. While there was lots of lightning, I didn't see any ground strikes so was willing (stupid enough!) to stand outside even as the lightning was directly overhead. As it moved further south, the clouds blocked the view of the lightning, and weren't as dramatically lit. I was hoping to be able to photograph that angle because I could have positioned the camera for a better view of the Jeep (better technical composure).
Other details: 10-mm lens, ISO 200, 4 & 6 second exposures, f/8.0 & f/13.0. Partway through the shooting I wasn't happy with the light on the Jeep, so I added supplemental lighting, including the built-in flash on the camera, and the house lights on the garage. I wish I'd had more time to play with the various lighting combo's--I think I could have really gotten a great pic had I.
