Well..........I had no idea because I haven't kept up with the prices as I don't bike. I do remember tho that years ago a friend of mine bought a state of the art (at the time) bike for $1,500. I remember thinking that was crazy. I know the good stuff is spendy. Hell, I just paid $340. for a pair of Lightforce lights......which I didn't think I'd ever do.

I think it's funny that he's on a steel frame.
My single speed mtb is steel and they are awesome.once my cannondale frame goes out I'm going with steel.
