Willys Jeep

I knew this wouldn’t stick around long.

With a winning bid of $11,100 on eBay for this one-of-a-kind Jeep, this thing is a steal.

An old school “hybrid” of sorts, the custom 1953 Willys was made from two overland wagons and one Jeep. Even wilder, it’s equipped with a rebuilt 327 Corvette engine that powers all eight wheels.

The custom Jeep was built by Dick Cook, a fabricator from California known for his work on multi-axle vehicles.

Other highlights include a fuel cell inside, two leather bucket seats, white face gauges, and working emergency sirens and lights. According to the video clip below, the Willys also has a top speed of 65 mph, making it freeway accessible.

The Jeep’s road adventure credits include a drive from Crested Butte, Colorado all the way over the pass to Aspen, according to the eBay summary on the vehicle.

It’s safe to say there’s one lucky Willys owner smiling ear to ear right about now.
