5 Things That the Compass/Patriot Replacement Needs

Imagine a world where those of us who have been long-time Jeep fans get to decide on what features the next model will include.

Sounds like a dream come true, right? Yup, and probably just as unlikely, given that Jeep would be flooded with so many suggestions that the thing would never get made. Lucky for those who really need a vehicle, that isn’t the case.

But if given a chance to weigh in on the Jeep set to replace the outgoing Compass and Patriot, we’ve come up with a few things we’d like to see in the new SUV, as inspired by a recent AutoBlog report. The top five are listed below:

1. More classic Grand Cherokee-like design features than the Renegade and Cherokee.

2. A model with true 4X4 capabilities minus all the extra stuff that’s more for show than off-roading.

3. An assortment of new high-tech features including Apple CarPlay.

4. Premium interior quality even on the entry-level models.

5. A much more thought-out price point for the segment, considering that the Renegade and Cherokee can be very pricey once you start adding a few options.
