‘Removeable’ Roof Rendering Has Us Revved Up for Jeep Pickup
If you weren’t already excited about the forthcoming Wrangler-based pickup, then just wait until you get a load of this rendering for the new Jeep.
A member of Allpar, who goes by the name of “Ruptured Duck,” has cooked up a rendering that captures exactly how Jeep will offer an open roof for the pickup, as highlighted in a Road & Track report. After all, the idea of any derivative of the Wrangler not having a removable top feature is akin to the vehicle not being off-road capable.
That said, we never took the time to figure out how Jeep might pull it off. And while the “Ruptured Duck” rendering doesn’t show the “JT” pickup having a completely removable top, it does highlight how it could feature removable panels.
The challenge, notes Allpar, is making sure that the entire setup is still structurally sound, which is why a fully-removable roof for the pickup wouldn’t work. But hey, if the end result is even close to this, we certainly won’t complain.
