Bestop Helps Two Teams Make the All Female Rebelle Rally
Jeep owners are certainly cut from a different cloth, but while many hardcore Jeepers know how to make the most with just a few tools, newer generations aren’t exactly the same.
Give a younger Jeeper a compass and a map, and watch them be puzzled and not know what to do. But those are exactly the tools that the all-female participants of the Rebelle Rally will have to work with for a whopping seven days. The rally covers 1,200 miles of rugged terrain from Lake Tahoe to San Diego, California and requires competitors to find their way to between eight and ten checkpoints each day, using only a road book, map, and compass!
What’s even better, is that Bestop, the sole supplier of factory soft tops on Jeep Wranglers since 1986, is sponsoring Team HD members Shelby Hall and Amy Lerner (pictured above), as well as Team Wild and Free members Holly Freeman and Coralee Lack in the inaugural seven-day Rebelle Rally.
“There’s no substitute for experience, but having the right equipment and accessories to assist us during this competitive off-road event will help us have a successful race,” said off-road rally driver Amy Lerner. “We are thankful for the support of Bestop and the proven products they have supplied for this event.”
Personally, I always enjoy watching companies give back to their biggest promoters: their customers. We hope the Bestop team and all others conquer the rally, and wish all participants the best of luck!
