Breaking: 2018 Jeep Wrangler Spy Shots

Not long after we reported on Jeep’s hot-weather testing of a 4-cylinder Jeep Wrangler, new shots of a completely camoed and concealed 4-door Wrangler have surfaced.

Spy shots courtesy of Motor Authority show a 4-door Jeep Wrangler (possibly Rubicon trim) completely covered in what seems to be leather or vinyl body wraps, and even camo inserts along the rear doors. Funny enough, by the look of some pictures, the Jeep has been parked and staged with the iconic Chrysler building in Auburn Hills, Michigan, just outside Detroit. Which makes us wonder if this photo-shoot was staged for publicity.

Whether these photos were leaked by FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) or not, we can’t help but grow excited at what the 2018 Jeep could bring to the table regarding power plants, drivetrains, exterior and interior design, and of course— off-roading gadgets.

Rumor of a 4-cylinder diesel engine, or possibly a turbocharged or even hybrid motor, have been brought to the table by many forum members, but nothing has been confirmed by Jeep and it will most likely be a long time until we know for sure.

Until then, enjoy the spy shots!
