Craigslist Yields Another Great Classic Jeep Find

CJ 6

Looking for a rare Jeep to add to your collection? Well, maybe this rather unique CJ-8 might pique your interest.

The Jeep is one of 230 right-hand-drive Scramblers made in 1984 for the Alaskan Postal Delivery Service. It’s powered by a 4.2 L 6 cylinder with automatic transmission and features a working 4WD system.

According to the Craigslist summary, the Jeep also features a rare World Cab hard top, which was only sold on the Alaskan Scramblers in the U.S. All other models of the Jeeps sold in the States were marketed as pickup trucks.

Other details include 31″ tires with bed-lined 15 x 8 wagon wheels, a working rear barn door, and a rebuilt dual barrel Motorcraft 2100 ready to be installed.

The interior of the Scrambler, however, is clearly in a need of a lot of work, as is the Jeep’s exterior paint work. So whether or not it’s worth the $8,450 asking price might determine how great of a find you think it really is.
